I think that it's good that art teachers teach their students principles of art. It gives the students ideas for their projects and also helps them understand them better. I think it's also helpful to the teachers to teach about postmodern principles because it gives structure to the class. Art class is about making art, but it's also about learning. I do however, think that someone can be an artist without knowing a ton of vocabulary. The vocabulary isn't what makes an artist. What makes an artist is their use of media and the art itself. You can have a vision and understand it and create it without vocabulary. Overall I think that teaching postmodern principles is a good thing, but it might not be necessary.
